Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary and The Animal Place
San Joaquin Valley, Ca.
One ongoing incident of misleading information about a breeder while using pictures purportedly taken at the breeder's place of business, dated by the breeder using the rabbits in the photos showing the entire incident as false. Subsequently supporters of Harvest Home made more accusations toward the breeder publicly on Facebook and then attacked SRPS moderators with the exact same accusations, while Harvest Home expressed approval of their comments, although all three SRPS moderators live in different states around the country with different breeds. When it was pointed out to these Harvest Home "adoptive parents" that their accusations toward SRPS were impossible and why, they apologized, saying they made a mistake. One supporter than moved on to blame breeders for "infections her rabbit developed after adopting from Harvest Home" with no explanation as to how the breeder was at fault.
Harvest Home itself left up their blog which was then re-blogged in the same way with added comments by the Animal Place Sanctuary as well.
From these actions we consider these two organizations to be less than careful with truth and facts, both proponents of false advertising to garner public funding.

Action Taken By Breeder/Victim: Pending Legal
How you can help: do not donate to these organizations and do not adopt their animals. Write to Petco, 5406 Pacific Ave. Stockton, Ca. and ask they stop supporting these two organizations with "free adoption days" and why. Explain that you as a customer of Petco, would prefer to do business with groups who do not utilize deceptive advertising or threaten private persons, or utilize PeTA type behaviors.
